So named because this room has for a long time been the favorite of the academician Pierre-Jean Remy, great long-time friend of Canisy and the writer of a wonderful article about Canisy. You can read his article in the section “livre d’or,” the golden book. This is a very beautiful suite, and like the Louis XVI room and the Empire Room, is situated in the grand gallery with a view on the gallery’s grand perspective. The paintings and furnishings give the room the complete atmosphere of the 18th century.

The bathroom is one of the first redecorations of my wife Marie-Christine who wished to introduce a little more baroque style in the chateau, which she had found up to that point ... too formal!
